The Wellness Doula emerged after having three of my own incredible children. My interest in babies however dates back to being a child myself. You could catch me bringing a doll on any outing we went and when asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was a mom or firefighter. Needless to say I’m not surprised to be here pursuing a career as a doula. My passion only grew as friends and family began having children as well. The desire to be of any help or provide guidance was something I eagerly jumped at. I decided to take the plunge and work towards becoming a fully certified birth and postpartum doula. Best decision I made!
I strongly believe the best birth outcomes are achieved through being informed. We cannot predict how birth will go, however when we are prepared and informed, we have options. I want to educate you so you can advocate for yourself and have a say in your birth experience. I want you to look back on this transformational experience and feel as though you were respected and heard.
Your family is growing! A time filled with anticipation, excitement, and naturally some worry. We prepare so much for the arrival of the baby but sometimes don’t anticipate how much support can be needed after baby has arrived. Being a trusted person of support as families make this transition is so rewarding. Some of my favourite ways to support families postpartum is by ensuring they are all nourished! You could say my love language is food. I look forward to hearing from you! Main service areas of support are Hamilton and Burlington.
